New Year Prayer

The New Year unfolds like pages in a book yet to be written, bringing hope and endless possibilities.  God has poured out His love into our hearts and as the scriptures say ‘Whoever believes in Me, Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water’. May this year be crowned with the LORD’s goodness and our paths drip with the abundance of His mercy. May God's love shine bright and may His blessings overflow and Jesus be revealed in every day of the coming year.

STILL

Jesus is the Alpha and Omega, the One who is who was, and who is to come. Our all sufficient Lord, who will not fail to complete the good work He has begun in us, As the Alpha and Omega, Jesus is still alive, still writing His story and using our stories to tell the story of redemption.
Arise and show the light in a dark place, Lord be a shining light around me.
GOD still brings Triumphs at the works of His hand,
I raise my hands to give you praise in all I do I pray that it honors you.
You are worthy and I give you my heart, I put my trust in you, my King
GOD still gives the Victory through Jesus,
I anticipate marvelous things to happen to those who love you in the coming year.
GOD still gives Hope to a generation willing to seek Him, for there is hope in His mercy.
Your sweet fragrance fills the air, your amazing grace satisfies and your love endures forever.
Jesus you are the Alpha and Omega the beginning and the end of everything that matters. Plant your word in my heart; bring life through the power of your Spirit. Make me a letter advancing your message.

Carry Me

These quotes struck a chord with me. Maybe if we walk with every praise to our GOD, we tell the enemy that we will fight back with Joy!
“In the darkest times of your life, your praise to God should be the loudest. Let the enemy know you are not afraid of the dark.”  Stormie Omartian

When Life Doesn’t Turn Out Like You Expect, Perhaps It’s Time to Fight Back with Joy.  Margaret Feinbergby

Carry me to the place of rest; on the wings of praise carry me today.
Carry me to the secret place, my hiding place, I will rest in you.

My dreams surround me here and you ignite each promise. I will rest in you…
Now is the time to take your Word to the nations.
Your voice shall be heard and all will be restored by your love.

In the presence of evil the Lord God Almighty excels.
When we praise You in the midst of our enemies
They will melt like wax in the fire…

Carry me to the place of rest; on the wings of praise carry me today.
Carry me to the secret place, my hiding place, I will rest in you.

Joy of the LORD!

At my Lowest when I feel forgotten and alone…
Yehovah is my HOPE; yes my soul finds hope in Jesus my savior.
At my Darkest when I have been betrayed and my burdens are heavy…
Yehovah is my LIGHT and restorer of my soul and I will not be afraid.
At my Weakest when it seems I cannot go one more step…
Yehovah is my STRENGTH and my shield, and my heart trusts in Him.
At my Saddest when I think I have lost everything…
Yehovah the God of all COMFORT is my comfort and my sanctuary.
He strengthens me and holds me up by His Victorious Right hand.
His arms hold the universe and He holds me
and His mercies are new every morning.

GOD Almighty says: “I will give you the treasures hidden in the darkness, secret riches. I will do this so that you may know that I Am the Yehovah, the God of Israel, the one who calls you by name. Nothing can ever separate you from my love. No one will snatch you away from me. I have written your name on my hand. Come to me in the secret place when you are weary and I will give you rest.”

Isaiah 45:3, Psalm 9:9, Lamentations 3:22-23, Psalm 28:7, Psalm 6:5,
Psalm 27:1, 2 Corinthians 3:5

Prayer: Father, I invite you to do a new work in my heart. I confess that I have been at times satisfied with what the world is offering. I have been lulled by mediocrity and even believed at times that more of you was not possible. Fill my heart with the water of your love; pour it over the dry places in me. Thank you for the promise that if I draw near to you that You will draw near to me.

Made New

For a few nights last week a portion of a song kept playing in my head as I was trying to sleep. I had not heard it before (at least I didn’t remember).   Then I heard it on the radio. Made New by Lincoln Brewster. Part of the chorus”

“You hold my head up - You remind me who I am - You hold my head up - I'm alive in You again”

Since I couldn’t get it out of my head – I wrote:

Because of You I am alive and made new. You are a shield around me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head.

You surround me with your love. I lie down and sleep in peace. I awake again because the Lord sustains me.

I am strong because you take me by the hand and You restore my soul. Hold me close and never let me go. The Lord never sleeps nor slumbers and His ardent eye is always on me.

Tell me again who I am in You, because of You I am alive and made new.

Psalm 3:3, Psalm 5:11-12
