Offering

Holy Spirit Breathe in me…
Come fill my heart.
Light the fire of your love in my soul,
Send forth your inspiration.
Create In me something new,
Take my art, my gifts and let it be,
A humble Offering of praise,
Enlighten me to perceive your mysteries,
Guide me to the fountain of delight,
Strengthen me for the journey.
Awaken me to be all you created me to be.
Thank you for the many blessings
And creative gifts you have given me.
May I honor you in all I do…
Holy Spirit Breathe in me…

EMBRACE

I had a dream seeing a small bluebird or sparrow flying towards the storm with the sun behind her and the sun with clear skies beyond the storm.

Embrace the resistance and face the wind with arms raised up. Trust Me to keep you up. Embrace the resistance and face the struggle and I will lift you higher. I use the clouds for My chariot and I move on the wings of the Wind.

If you turn from resistance and run, you will be overwhelmed by the circumstances. Your flight and your dreams will be out of reach. Get ready to break out of the confines of the past and to expand beyond old boundaries.

Embrace the resistance to face the unknown and I will hold you up and lift you up and make you strong. Prepare your heart by adjusting your faith to take advantage of all that I provide. This is your season of victory, go Run the race, fight the good fight.  Press forward into a place of victory, for it is your destiny.

But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 NKJV

You lay the beams of your home in the water. You use the clouds for your chariot. You move on the wings of the Wind. Psalm 104:3 Names Of God

Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; do not spare; lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes.  Isaiah 54:2 NKJV

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us Hebrews 12:1 NKJV

Pressing toward the Goal Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Philippians 3:12 NKJV

Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. Matthew 10:30-32 ESV

Scripture Verse for the Year

The year seems to be on a fast start at least for me. J I have been reading several articles (the Lord’s leading?) on finding a verse for the year and a word for the year instead of having resolutions (I generally don’t do resolutions). In previous years a couple of friends have gathered to put the old year in its place and declare God’s faithfulness for the coming year, kind of like a Sozo session before I knew what that was. Purpose being not to focus on self but on how/what God wants for our development in His kingdom in the coming year.

When I worked in retail, we always had a slogan for the year ahead and/or a word. Sometimes it would be “absolutely”, “fun”, “determination”, responsibility etc., we had some grand words (our vocabulary definitely increased) and we always talked about it and weaved it into our day. So knowing how that affected our progress through the year I loved reading about this idea of pleasing the LORD with our effort to learn more about the Word in a more personal way. I guess I need a step by step to get me going in the right direction.

Example given by the Crosswalk author was John 6:35 Then Jesus declared, I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. And the word is Nourish. So throughout the year meditating the scripture and hearing what the spirit wants to teach you. Listening for what God is calling you to do before just planning on your own. I’m sure you can already see how valuable the wisdom this scripture can bring.

In reading the whole chapter of the verse chosen will encourage you further. The word nourish: to sustain, to cherish, keep alive, to strengthen, and to promote. This definition will help you discover the layers of meaning the  scripture has as it pertains to you specifically. As you meditate on this verse, other verses will come alive through the lens of nourishment. The author says that last year’s word of unity Ecclesiastes 4:12-19 for her is built upon by each new year’s verse and word and still learning about it, and the article states that Matthew 5:14-16 has become her life verse, and expected to see her LIGHT shine brighter than ever this year. May that be true of us.

What a great idea to start the New Year. What about you? Will you choose a verse to guide you into this New Year? Using these scriptures is a good start. We could do individually as well as a team.  This would be a challenge for me since I tend to read through the whole chapter because I don’t want to miss anything, so taking a verse and to continue to meditate on it will also be exciting to see what the Spirit will teach me. Some good words to get you thinking:  Captivating, Joy, Love, Overcomer, Miracles, Love might be a good one for the team, especially after our last meeting, and there are plenty of scriptures on love to go around.  I am going to take some time to find a verse and word so I can dwell on it throughout the year, how about you? Let me know. If you already do this, then let us know how it is working for you and what the Spirit has taught you.

Blessings for a great week!

Love Melts Away Distrust

There are many words around stating that this is the year that what the enemy has stolen will be restored. The harvest is ready, miracles will continue. So be ready to see the LORD move on your behalf.
2 Corinthians 4:13And since we have the same spirit of faith in keeping with what is written, I believed, therefore I spoke, we also believe, and therefore speak. Below is part of what the Lord would have me write.

You are called to bring heaven to earth through your worship, your prayers and through your love towards one another. Love for others is always an indication of your relationship with Me. If your relationship suffers, then your ability to maintain kindness and peace in the midst of the storm will be difficult. Hold on to your intimacy with Me then you will have all you need to get through. Remember I AM the lover of your soul, the resource for all your needs. Follow me daily; listen for my voice and I will open the doors I have promised. Speak Life to one another; for I AM with you and will lead you to much Joy. There are many weapons in My Kingdom, but the greatest of these is love. Love melts away distrust and unbelief.

Lord, help me to love like you love.

Psalm 126:5. Psalm 85:13, Proverbs 2:20, Psalm 62:5, Isaiah 21:5,
Exodus 14:13-16, Psalm 119:18, I Corinthians 13

Have a blessed week!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

The new year unfolds like pages in a book yet to be written, bringing hope and endless possibilities. Holly Gerth

God has poured out His love into our hearts. Romans 5:5

Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water’   John 7:38 ESV.

You crown the year with Your goodness, and Your paths drip with abundance.  Psalm 65:11

Praying God's love shines bright and may His blessings overflow and Jesus be revealed to you every day of the coming year.

Robin Smith wrote this New Year Prayer-too good not to share:

Happy New Year! In 2014, may you find rest in the Whispers of God. May you be marked with His Words, renewed by His Breath, and transformed by His Spirit. May the Shalom of God's manifest Presence attend your every step. May you be divinely strengthened and encouraged by our Sovereign Lord. And may He quiet you with His love.

May this be true for us in 2014!!!
