Kintsukuroi

I was at a funeral on Monday at Ft Sam, some of my family members are buried there, and I was not prepared for all the emotions that came forward.  Sharing with friends about the healing we have received throughout our lives and even in the last few years. How much stronger we were for encountering Jesus and His love.

This conversation reminded me of a picture I found of a bowl. I found it to be a beautiful picture of restoration. Kintsukuroi is a Japanese technique to repair pottery.  The true life of the bowl began when it was dropped.  I see this like the love of the Father who fills the empty space with His mercy and grace by the blood of Jesus. We become more beautiful and valuable for having been broken. When we are broken and missing a piece of our self we are missing a peace that only Jesus can give.

At Rapha God in our prayer sessions we help people encounter Jesus so He can fill those places that have been broken, tattered and torn and bring healing and peace to their spirit, soul and body. When we discover the abiding realization that we are loved by a mighty God everything in our life changes.

Romans 14:17 for the Kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

The Kingdom IS IN the Holy Spirit. The realm of the Kingdom, dominion and rule is in the realm of the Spirit.

Ephesians 3:19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Kintsukuroi - (Noun) (v. phr.) “To repair with gold”; the art of repairing pottery with gold or silver lacquer and understanding that the piece is more beautiful for having been broken.
