Carry Me

Joy of the LORD!

At my Lowest when I feel forgotten and alone…

Yehovah is my HOPE; yes my soul finds hope in Jesus my savior.

At my Darkest when I have been betrayed and my burdens are heavy…

Yehovah is my LIGHT and restorer of my soul and I will not be afraid.

At my Weakest when it seems I cannot go one more step…

Yehovah is my STRENGTH and my shield, and my heart trusts in Him.

At my Saddest when I think I have lost everything…

Yehovah the God of all COMFORT is my comfort and my sanctuary.

He strengthens me and holds me up by His Victorious Right hand. 

His arms hold the universe and He holds me

Prayer: Father, I invite you to do a new work in my heart. I confess that I have been at times satisfied with what the world is offering. I have been lulled by mediocrity and even believed at times that more of you was not possible. Fill my heart with the water of your love; pour it over the dry places in me. Thank you for the promise that if I draw near to you that You will draw near to me.

Made New

For a few nights last week a portion of a song kept playing in my head as I was trying to sleep. I had not heard it before (at least I didn’t remember).   Then I heard it on the radio. Made New by Lincoln Brewster. Part of the chorus”

“You hold my head up - You remind me who I am - You hold my head up - I'm alive in You again”

Since I couldn’t get it out of my head – I wrote:

Because of You I am alive and made new. You are a shield around me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head.

You surround me with your love. I lie down and sleep in peace. I awake again because the Lord sustains me.

I am strong because you take me by the hand and You restore my soul. Hold me close and never let me go. The Lord never sleeps nor slumbers and His ardent eye is always on me.

Tell me again who I am in You, because of You I am alive and made new.
